Happy rainy Saturday!  I'm ready for a nice weekend -- my son is on a tennis team that has matches on Saturdays, and this is his third rainout in as many weeks :(

Here are some reminders/announcements about ongoing and upcoming events:

  • We will be doing another Share Night at the Culver's in Clayton on Wednesday, November 18, from 5-8 p.m.  If you're able to come for all or part of that time to help serve food, greet customers, clean tables, and (most importantly) advertise our chorus and concert to the community, we'd love to have you!  If not, please consider supporting us by grabbing dinner and encouraging your friends and family to grab dinner, as we will earn a percentage of proceeds from all orders during those hours.

  • We will be singing some songs from our Christmas concert at Kingswood Reserve the afternoon of Sunday, November 22.

  • Ester handed out information about baskets for the Christmas concert.  We are going to try something new this time -- raffle baskets instead of a silent auction.  Attendees will purchase raffle tickets (one ticket for $5, five tickets for $20, 15 tickets for $50) and place them into bags in front of each basket.  Buyers can split up their tickets however they want, giving them more control over what they might win.  This will replace both the silent auction component and the 50/50 raffle, as it provides the opportunity to earn more money for the chorus than both combined have in the past.  Our goal is to have 12-15 baskets valued at $50-100 each.  If you need ideas, see Ester!  Baskets will be due November 30.

  • Please continue to hand out business cards and posters to advertise our concert.  If a business is willing to put a poster or cards in their shop, please take a picture of them with the poster/cards and email it to me so that I can give them credit on Facebook.

For those who have been part of the chorus before, this is all familiar.  For those who are new, I just wanted to give a heads up for information about the concert.
